Raising awareness
Become an ambassador; promote and support your chosen project, both here in Cambodia and back at home. You can do this through arranging fund raising events, establishing support groups, developing links with schools and other organisations back home.
Such links can bring real benefits for local projects:
- more people and organisations become aware of their work
- links between local projects and schools/other organisations at home can help with fundraising and creating resources
- such links can help with cultural awareness on both sides
- it may be possible to set up Skype/Facetime etc. calls which can help to strengthen links and understanding
